One night, the scorpion appeared, and the old man, lying down, saw it approaching with such anger that he asked, “Why are you angry?” The scorpion replied, “My mission here is to sting, and to whom I sting, I will reveal a secret, but I haven’t found anyone worthy.” The curious old man asked, “What kind of secret is it?” The scorpion responded, “I can’t tell you unless you let me sting you. You would be fortunate and receive a divine revelation.” The old man agreed to be stung and help the scorpion fulfill its mission. Suddenly, he received a vision of what he could achieve with all his lands and the knowledge he would pass on to future generations by learning from the earth.
