TOBALA
MAGBOA Tobalá is a celebration of Oaxaca’s sacred small agave, Agave potatorum. Grown in the semi-arid highlands of Santiago Matatlán, this rare agave is slow-matured, stone-roasted, and fermented in wooden vats before distillation in a Filipino-copper still combination.
At 48% Alc. Vol., Tobalá offers layered complexity — floral aromas, tropical fruit notes, subtle spices, and a long, smooth finish. Elegant yet vibrant, it’s a mezcal made for sipping slowly and telling stories.
This is tradition in its purest, most elevated form.

JAGUAR & BIGHORN SHEEP
Every day the man plowed the land, a curious jaguar watched him. Since the man did not want the jaguar to know what he was doing, he sent it to fetch water in a gourd with holes that would never fill. But after a while of indignation, the cimarron, although a friend of the man, explained to the jaguar how to plug the holes with clay. When the jaguar returned, the man had already created an ancestral drink. The jaguar exclaimed, “I want to drink some.” And the man replied, “This drink is for man and his delight.” The jaguar, showing superiority, insisted, “I want some of that delight.” Then, the man asked the bighorn sheep to wound the jaguar in one leg. Even so, the jaguar kept insisting on wanting to drink. The man ordered the bighorn sheep to attack the jaguar, who climbed a tree to escape. When the jaguar calmed down, the man left the ancestral drink in a wooden tub. The sly jaguar approached to drink some, and the cimarron, noticing this, tried to stop him. The jaguar said, “You must drink too.” the bighorn sheep, obeying, drank, and both were punished by the gods, being united forever.
